Operator 7 #1 Posted March 26, 2010 OK after getting my D-200 this winter I keep thinking on something, There is no distributor, how does the firing order work? Both sides at the same time? If mine lags on one side , it will pop at higher throttle like a misfire. When I turn off I get the "bang" like a B&S I had in the GT-1848. Don't like that. 120 lbs compression both sides [plugs out] new wires and plugs, plugs look black/sooty. Ideas guys? Randy
rickv1957 72 #2 Posted March 26, 2010 Randy, both sides fire everytime piston comes to top but only one cylinder at a time is on compression stroke, sounds like carb is set to rich, lean it down a bit and see if that helps,Rick
wh79d160 52 #3 Posted March 27, 2010 Randy, It could be a bad or sticking valve or an exhaust leak,(gasket ect.). It could be running to rich & loading up the cylinder. As far as the popping when you turn it off. Do you idle down the motor before you turn it off? Good luck. Tom

I'll check and tune jets a little, hopefully that does it. I had carb rebuilt so maybe it needs a tweak. Randy
