New additions to the Barn in Akron

I found a couple of pony's that were in need of a new residence. They were local (always a good thing) and the price was right to buy the pair. The one is a 1971 800 Automatic with a bad engine and a good 42" deck. The other all I know is a Electra 12 Hydro. The model is 1-1255. But I could not get this to work on the Toro web site. I tired with and without the dash. Can anyone shed some light on what year this is?

You are RIGHT. That number does work. It is a 1970. Cool... Both of these tractors need engines. So Im not sure how far I will go with them. Im thinking maybe find an engine for the Electra and part out the 800? Don't know yet.

I just noticed the trans for the Electra is a model 5062 and it has a spring inside like the 5073 limited slip. Are the 5062 limited slip to?

I agree, put them in the barn and restore them one at a time. They could both be nice tractors. That's about what shape you find them in down here. I have yet to find one in premo shape. Just my 2 cents worth. I an find all kinds of engines, just not great tractors. I think I keep Daveoman in business.

I also noticed that these tractors have "Wheel Horse" name written in the tires to. They are original and in pretty good condition. Im hoping to bring these boys home tomorrow and get a good look at what they need etc.

They both look pretty good to me. If you have the room to set them back, if it were me I'd get them both up and running.
