Steve in Mo 3 #1 Posted March 23, 2010 The inside belt guide bearing on my mule drive is getting bad. I see the whole guide in the parts list but the bearing has a number on it. Can I just press out the bearing and replace it or do I have to replace the whole guide?? Thanks for the help.
rickv1957 72 #2 Posted March 23, 2010 If you have a cast pulley you can just replace bearing,Rick
Kelly 1,029 #3 Posted March 23, 2010 Yup what Rick said, if it's the tin pulley buy a new one, about $25 from Toro for a pulley
rick 233 #4 Posted March 25, 2010 Just put bearings in both cast pulleys on my C-100. They are 6023 bearings, but with a 3/4" center bore. They were about 5 dollars each more than the tin pulleys, but I wanted to keep it original as much as I can.
rickv1957 72 #5 Posted March 25, 2010 Them cast pulleys and bearings have a longer service life than the tin jobs,Rick
rick 233 #6 Posted March 25, 2010 I can believe that, these looked to be the original bearings, faded red paint on the outer one!
