boatman 3 #1 Posted March 21, 2010 :D I have a 312 hydro. The front wheels are turned out in front. The tie rods have no adjustment. I assume that if the left front wheel is straight ahead, the right front is turned out a little. Tell me if I am right, this must mean that one spindle must be twisted a little. If ths is the case, and I need to replace a spindle, are most of the c series and 400 300 series all the same spindle or is there a difference ? Thanks :omg:

rmaynard 15,309 #3 Posted March 21, 2010 or you could get a set of adjustable tie rods. Bob
sorekiwi 761 #4 Posted March 21, 2010 I think all the 312 's use the "tall" spindle to compensate for the 6" tires, so a spindle from a machine with 8" tires wont work. I would think that if the amount of toe out is noticable, then the bent bit should be noticable too. If the tie-rod itself is not bent, check the steering arm that is welded to the spindle, thats probably the bent piece. I have a pair of 312 spindles here if you need one. boatman 3 #5 Posted March 21, 2010 :D tHANKS FOR INFO GUYS. i FORGOT ABOUT THOSE 6" WHEELS. I will take a closer look at them tomorrow. Also thanks for the offer on having some extra spindles. I am supprised they didn't use an ajustable tie rod in the first place. :omg:
