Operator 7 #26 Posted March 24, 2010 I think the hoods are different to accomodate the different dashboards. I dont know the maroon stripe tractors very well, but I know the hood off a 312A is different in the dash area from the one on my 520. Now that you mention that! I had a GT-1648 for a bit and that hood would be the same as 300-400 right? Not the same as 520 you are right! I was wrong Never to old to learn I guess. Looks like finding a hood just got a little harder. Well what do you know one just poped up on e-bay. Torino 14 #30 Posted March 25, 2010 Blew the fuse for the gauges again. Going to have to go over the wiring. Where are the grounds located? Funny I read quite a few post on 520H through the years and don't remember reading about the wiring problems all I heard was what a great tractor it was. The Onan filter I took out of mine was P# 122-0800, 4.25" long. My closest Toro dealer has Stens for the replacement and shows the Onan P#, but it was over 5" long and would not make the turn into it. Everything they had was too long. I even tryed a Kohler replacement and it was 3.25" long, I didn't want to go too short. So I gave up and went with Purolator from auto zone, which was 4.5" long and it barely makes it in. You only have a little over 3" of clearance to work with. Never would of thought it would be that difficult. But would have to order online to get exact parts. I'm having the same problem with the air filter but I haven't been to auto zone yet. Not sure which P# from there to look for. I also need the numbers for all the filters It may or may not be worth the trouble, but if you take it of and lay on side against a vide or anvil (or a concrete block) and give it a couple oif good shots with a ball pein hammer, that might tighten it up. Look up above somewhere I gave Torino all the filter numbers Wix works and they can cross reference from them. The rubber knobers will pull off and on, I had to replace one and I just pushed it on.
