HotrodA800 0 #1 Posted March 19, 2010 My girlfriends dad has a B100 that he has decided to give to me because he has no use for it and it just sits there. I don't know much about it but I guess the tire supposedly falls off(no sure which tire). Any ideas on why this could be? Might be picking it up tonight. :D
jpmcleod 4 #2 Posted March 19, 2010 If it's like all of mine, the C-clip must be missing at the end of the axel. I have one that thakes a bolt and washer at the end to retain the wheel. Check for a C-clip that fits in the groove at the end of the front axel. If it is the back, sounds like you wheel hub is either busted or loose. Ther should be a square head nut behind the rear tire that has to be tight or the wheel and hub will fall off. I hope that is all there is to it. Good luck and what happens to the tractor if you and his daughter break-up. Do you have to give it bacK? Anyway, welcome.
HotrodA800 0 #3 Posted March 19, 2010 I'm hoping the hub isn't busted. how much for a new hub? And nah, her dad would much rather have it gone then sitting in the shed lol. He also has a huffy and a case bulldozer I might be getting. Call me lucky. Her dad told her it was something to do with a wheel bar or something like that. Not sure if that means bolt? Helmer 0 #4 Posted March 19, 2010 Sounds like one of the front spindles has a bad snap ring groove. you can drill and tap for a 5/16 thd and use a bolt and washer(s) to keep the wheel on. If the spindle is really bad, it's pretty easy to replace. You will find Wheel Horses easy to work on (except removing rear hubs and steering wheels). Good luck!!!
