Lane Ranger 10,943 #9 Posted March 18, 2010 Joe: Nice haul on the Lawn Ranger, plow and parts! Was that the one the guy was selling in Marseilles, Ill on Craigslist this am? I saw one this am that had an 8 horse kohler in it and it looked pretty nice and the price was right! Looks like he had more wheel horse stuff which is usually the case when you find one item or tractor for sale. :omg:

Lane Ranger 10,943 #12 Posted March 18, 2010 Joe: My dad, brother and I worked on a Wheel Horse plow yesterday greasing it all up and cleaning and greasing the turn adjustment for the plow. We were getting ready for the garden plowing. I just bought two 36 inch disc's , and a cultivator to go along with our plow. My dad prefers an old sears craftsman plow because it was light and could adjust easily to soil depth. Glad to see you got that Lawn Ranger and if you need any tips on them please feel free to contact me. We have three and Pat (jusjeepin) has a forth one waiting for me to pick up from him. :omg:

mowerman1193 32 #16 Posted March 18, 2010 Wow for the life of me I can't think of any WH that uses that hood????? All of them have a gas tank hole, has it been welded shut?? Kelly are you talking about the hood on the Lawn Ranger in the pictures? if so I had a 1967 L-107 and it had no hole in the hood..This could be the one too as someone from IL bought it from me without a motor..When I got it the Tucky was tired..I took it off and scrapped the motor..Put a Briggs in it for a while for the kids to play with it.Took it back off and sold it.. Kelly 1,029 #23 Posted March 20, 2010 Thank you but I still have no clue as to what it's from, unless it has had the gas tank fill hole welded shut?? look under the hood and see if it has been filled/welded shut? I kinda see bubbles in the paint were it should be, just most of the time when someone swaps a engine they don't go as far as welding the holes shut that are not needed, normaly they hack more holes. smokin joe 31 #24 Posted March 20, 2010 its smooth on the bottom side.if they did fill it shut they did a very impressive job!!ya got me on this one.
