bk-scouter 93 #1 Posted March 8, 2010 I've seen service manuals online and in Ebay for W.H tractors, but I never see any for my "vintage". Are there any available for my '99 314-8 (#73449)? I have the parts and owner manuals, but sometimes it would be nice to have some descriptive repair methods to read up on before attempting. -BK

stevasaurus 22,701 #3 Posted March 8, 2010 Hey BK...I went to my local library. They had a book (Yard and Garden Tractor)) service manual. This is like a Chilton book, and shows all kind of tractors and carburetors. It is a service manual like you are looking for, and you can just check it out and take it back when you are done. Check it out. B)
GlenPettit 1,716 #4 Posted March 8, 2010 -BK You'll also need "Kohler Single Cylinder Engine Service Manual", Magnium (this will tell you everything about your engine & related parts, essential, complete rebuild if necessary). It's only about $12, can order it through most any Auto Parts store, 24 hr., no shipping cost. [or Kohler: 1-800-544-2444, but then you have a shipping cost]. Nice to have a hard-copy, but you can download it also. All the other Wheel Horse manuals are a free download, but sounds like you have them all. Wheel Horse put out regular "service Bulletins"; nice thing about these tractors is that your 314 is almost exactly like the 308, 310, 312, & 316, and '99 is about the 95% identical to the '89, which is 95% identical to the '79 & '73. Once you've worked on one, they are all easy. Check the back posts on this site for great ideas. Good Luck
