mdpjeeper 0 #1 Posted March 5, 2010 I have a 1962 lawn ranger 32e. Im pretty sure the engine is a tecumseh 5.5hp. The tag on the motor says HT55C-3089P. I cant find any information on that number from tecumseh to try to get parts. anyone know anything about this?

mdpjeeper 0 #6 Posted March 15, 2010 Thanks guys. How or where can I find parts like a carb rebuild kit?
sorekiwi 761 #7 Posted March 20, 2010 If I remember correctly, I had no luck locating a carb kit using the HT55 description, but I did manage to find bits by looking at the Tecumseh kits that were available and picking one. The giveaway is the adjustable main jet on the bottom of the float bowl - most Teccy carbs dont have this, so you want the kit that has this. I do remember there was something funny with the needle valve - I think my origonal one had a little spring inside of the plunger and the new replacement ones didnt?? I may have used my old one? Sorry I'm so vague, it was 4 or 5 years ago, it was in a 502 and I finally gave up on that engine and put in a Kohler.
