Toro says Model not valid

Recommended Posts

546cowboy

Hello all

I just bought a Toro/Wheel Horse 616Z Zero Turn and went to the Toro site looking for manuals and the number on the factory tag is Y1160OE02 but Toro says that isn't a valid number. Anyone know what numbers to try?

Make sure you are searching Y1-16OE02. The character after the 6 is an O, not a zero, and the character after the E is a zero, not an O.

Thanks Bob

I did find a parts manual in that landscape section. I still haven't found an owners manual or service manual though.

Thanks for everyone's help. It is greatly appreciated.

I did find some manuals at https://lookup3.toro.com/request/request.cfm

Seems it is a commercial mower and a 1990 model.

Thanks again for all your replies. Some times it is really difficult to find these when you have as little experience with some of these tractors as I do. That's why I belong to many of these forums.

Were you dropped on your head as a child? B)

Follow the steps below (carefully):

1) Go to this web page - Toro Product Center

2) Enter the following characters in the "Enter Model Number" box - a "Y", a number One, a "Dash" symbol (minus sign?), a number One, a number Six, the letter "O", the letter "E", the number Zero, and the number Two. It should then look like "Y1-16OE02" (why, one, dash, One, Six, Oh, Eeh, zero, two) Only nine characters, no more-no less.

3) Left click the "Search" button on the web page, and allow the search to complete. You'll know the search is complete when the model information appears on the right side of the page.

4) When the search is complete, left click the "MANUALS" button in the "Get More information" section of the page.

5) You'll now see all of the manuals Toro has online for your new machine. They have five manuals available for your equipment.

I can't make it any plainer than that! Good luck.

Can we please refrain from insulting the members? We all have differing levels of computer knowledge. I see he's already edited his post and found some manuals anyway. B)

We probably can, although I was only yanking his chain as indicated, and went on to help 546cowboy through the process to help him become a knowledgeable Toro site user.

It just may clear up some issues other users have had in the past with the Toro site. Who knows?

Mike, you have a nice written process... perhaps with a few screen shots for people to follow along, you could turn that into a how-to for the FAQ section?

It appears I don't have the account permissions to start a topic in that forum .... B)

"Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:

Sorry, you do not have permission to start a topic in this forum "

Forgot about that. The FAQ section is set up so that topics can be moved there, but not started there. If you do your write-up, either as a reply or new post, it can be split off and put there.
