Hammerhead 817 #5 Posted March 3, 2010 Hello, your old WH is a 1961, it has the round hole on the hood for removal of the spark plug. It also has the 1961, mower deck with the 4 wheels mounted on the deck. I can see the tops of the hood decals, they are the 1961 style too. So what type of engine and what is the Horsepower rating? That will tell us if it's a Model #401 4 hp. or a Model #551. Is there a battery on the tractor frame? If so, it's a 551, if not, probably a 401. Need some more pics too. rusted and busted 0 #6 Posted March 3, 2010 thanks guys,the motor is a k91 4 hp,it is siezed from sitting for so long,guy i bought it from stored it in his shed but pulled the spark plug for somthing else.it is a pull start motor,so no battery.i cant get the transmission to go to neutral,makes it a bear to move around!any ideas would help.
