I got some steel to use as weight. They are about 27 inches long and weight 65 pounds a peice. I have 2 cheap tool boxes with lead wheel weights weighing at 100 pounds and 70 pounds on there now.

I am debating wether to cut them in half and put it all on the rear and loose the lead. Or cutting them wide enough to fit between the wheels ( 17" at about 41 pounds) and mount the rest ( 10" at about 24 pounds) to the front. I am open the suggestions also.

With the weights set up like you have it now, will make the frontend light and maybe hard to turn with out weight on the front tires (no traction) I'd put the weight on or over the axle some how, and a few pounds up front might not hurt.
