wheelly 0 #1 Posted March 1, 2010 In the NAMA show pictures can U tell me what year Freddie's lawn ranger is? And on a lawn ranger when the data plate is gone is the another place on the castings to find the year ?
CasualObserver 3,408 #2 Posted March 1, 2010 I think you're talking about this one? Should be a 1968, that's the only year they used the long hood decal. Prior to that was only the 2"x2" logo up toward the nose. As far as telling what year... without the data plate it's pretty difficult to tell the differences between 1965-68. They were all virtually the same tractor. You might be able to tell from the engine spec if you know that the engine is original.

Lawn Ranger kid 14 #5 Posted March 2, 2010 I think the 1968 was the only lawn ranger with a three spoke steering wheel. Correct me if I am wrong. Josh

pfrederi 17,646 #7 Posted March 2, 2010 I believe that 65 and 66 had a stamped recess in the belt guard where the lawn Ranger decal went. 67-68 there was no recess and the deck pulley usually scraped off the decal.
