Operator 7 #1 Posted February 20, 2010 Got a simple question here, On a D as your sitting on the seat looking at the back of hyd. pump - two lines for the valving ok? One is for pressure, One is return, Which is which? I'm adding a remote valve and need to plumb into the right combination. Randy
rickv1957 72 #2 Posted February 20, 2010 Randy,I tinking the line on the left but loosen them a bit to be sure,Rick
Operator 7 #3 Posted February 20, 2010 "Thinking" is the key word here, nothing bad will happen if I get them backwards but cussing [tight area] and not working. There will be fluid flow on both sides of valve Rick so I don't think it would determine flow direction. I could remove both lines completely then turn engine over huh? BigRedD180 1 #5 Posted February 20, 2010 I too was curious because I would like to tap into my D180 to add a valve for a blade angle control for my snow plow so I looked it up in the parts manual but all says is it is a "Tube - Pump to Valve". I also looked in a service manual and it does not indicate which is pressure or return. You may have to do it the messy way as you suggested to remove the lines and turn over the engine. Eureka!! As I was typing this up, I looked in the Auto Tranny Svc Manual and it looks like if you a sitting in the seat then the pressure is on the left and the return is on the right. See Pic Curious What are you adding to operate from hydro?
Operator 7 #6 Posted February 21, 2010 Thanks! You saved me an oily mess! I'm adding a valve next to seat for the rear three point, possibly a double spool then I would have aux. ports on rear too, maybe hyd. third link? or Hyd. dump trailer? Then the origional valve on dash could be front aux. port for power angle blade. Hyd. lift for my broom? quicker than the electric lift on there now.
