953/1054

Recommended Posts

Had a question about the 953/1054 model frames. How much larger than a C-Series or Raider/Charger are they? Does anyone have specs on wheelbase, track, length/width, weight, etc?

I'm trying to figure how much roomier they are and how much bigger than a C-Series they are.

Any info or specs would be greatly appreciated. Opinions are welcome too!

I might have a lead on picking one of these up and wanted to learn more about them.

Thanks-

The 953-1054 compares to the GT14 in size more than to a C series,Rick

I'm trying to figure how much roomier they are and how much bigger than a C-Series they are.

The "large frame" tractors are bigger in over all size than the C series, but at 6'2" I've always felt they were more cramped for the operator than the C series or the early long frames.

The next guy who's throws out an opinion may be 5'5" tell you different but thats my opinion.

Thanks for the dimensions Indy - that's very helpful.

Stephen - valuable metric.... I'm 6'4" and share your 'cramped positioning' on all garden tractors, but I love to play with them!

I thought that series and the GT14 alike might be 'roomier' than a C for example. I'm very comfortable and find the positioning well-suited for my height on my D250, but I never use it on account of its exclusivity!! It doesn't do any work......!!

Keep the opinions coming.

Are the 953/1054 compatible with some of the later attachments without modifications? How collectible are they?

Thx-
