Don1977 604 #2 Posted February 17, 2010 Go to Wheel Horse Links at the top of the page you will see this: Toro: Toro Master Parts Viewer (MPV) Toro / Wheel Horse product manuals How to find information if you don't know your model number: On the 4th line down (Product name)put the type tractor you have (Charger 12, C-120, B-80, etc.) and hit "submit" Once You type in C-81 on the 4th line and hit submit the next page hit parts. This will give you a list year models of C-81 select 79 and then select belts from the chart below. The drawing will come up and there are two no. 6 belts listed. There are two 79 C-81 Listed in the year model chart. I just checked and there is two belts the 7478 you have and 106496 V Belt listed for a C-81. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

THANKS rich first off second I have a 1978 c-81 eight speed. the belt should be a 7473, it's 89.95 inch long. width 0.625 inch. THE 7478 is the wrong belt. C-Series14 15 #6 Posted February 17, 2010 I swear, that is the umpteenth time I have gotten that 7478 belt mixed up with the 7473 belt!!! OK... 1979 year... 7478 is for the Kohler powered Auto's. 106496 is for the B&S Twin Auto. 7473 IS for the Kohler 8-Speeds.
