rydogg 186 #1 Posted February 16, 2010 I just picked up this tractor the other day when I found out it had a automotive rear end in it the first thing I thought was maybe a Power King, Pond, or Panzer, but I looked at a Speedex site and found one that looked very similar (see last picture). The po said it had a pinto rear end and transmission but I have not verified that yet, it has a Wisconsin motor, a hand clutch, rear lift, the brakes were set up with a pedal on each side for brake steering. Its a very odd build and looks almost homemade any information or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Rollerman 290 #2 Posted February 16, 2010 I'm going to have to say a homebuilt. The Economy/Power King, Gibson, Pond, Speedex tractors had a gear or chain reductions added to the ends of the axle tubes. Panzers didn't, but your tractor doesn't look anything like one of those. It could be that is a factory or name brand, but it's been worked on a lot. It's really neat though & some of the homebuilts are just as cool as a factory built.
