WHwest8597 85 #1 Posted February 15, 2010 I'm having trouble with blowing 15amp fuses in my 1996 314-8. This fuse is used for the lights and volt meter. Any suggestions?
W9JAB 156 #2 Posted February 15, 2010 one of the lights or the meter is shorting to ground disconect one at a time to find out the bad one, I would go after the meter first.
Duff 206 #3 Posted February 15, 2010 Check the wiring going up to the headlights, too. With age and vibration sometimes the insulation can get frayed and allow contact to a metal part of the tractor. Same with the feed wire back to the tail lights. Duff B)
MikesRJ 552 #4 Posted February 15, 2010 I would suspect you have a pink wire shorting somewhere between the fuse and lights, or between the fuse and Hour/Amp Meter. Look at the wire colors on the 15A fuse. The white wire comes from connection "L" on the key switch, the opposite side (which should be pink) feeds lights and meters.
