tbbahner 27 #1 Posted February 15, 2010 Well, I had another weak moment. I picked up a C160 8 Speed from the original owners son over the weekend. It seems this tractor was originally bought new by his dad from J & W Cycle located in Sussex, NJ. It made its way all the way to NW Mo. Guess that shows how valuable these old machines can be to people. All the equipment has been well used, especially the WH cart. They said it was used to build a stone wall and you can definitely tell it. Got the 48" deck, 42" blade, cart, and all the documentation they got with the tractor. There were notes inside the one of the books - Mower $370, Cart $150, Snow blade $185, chains $20, rear weights $80, Front weights $35. They weights were broken and discarded. I'm hoping he can find the original rear wheel and chains yet. Also got a box of old parts that had been replaced, including a couple NOS belts for it, and the original cart tires/wheels. The only thing done to it was a ring job in the 90's. It runs well but will need the usual tweeking to get things right again. Can't wait to get it unloaded and tweeked up. Anyway, I enjoyed knowing the history of the tractor. Don't usually get that when you pull them out of the iron piles like I usually do. Hope the link for the pic works. Tom B. Smilin in NE Ks.
