fritz 1 #1 Posted February 13, 2010 Is it possible to identify a tractors model with the serial number?? I am looking at a few tractors and I have the serial numbers but there was no belt guard or id tag. just stickers. They are both round hoods, one does have the belt guard and it says its a lawn ranger but I do not beilive it is. I got a lawn ranger off the guy and hope to do further buisness with him but I need to know what the tractors are first. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Devin Here are the numbers if any one is able to help. 49169 this had a 7 hp kohler on it, the engine set in the front, round hood and looked to be a smaller set up like a suburban or something?? 116412- this one is the one that the belt guard said lawn ranger. I dont believe it is a lawn ranger because its got 5 lug wheels, 8 inch front tires and a sloped tower. it had a lawn ranger type hood on it. I couldnt get pictures but if i ever do go back i will get some. Thanks again
Kelly 1,029 #2 Posted February 13, 2010 Sorry the serial no. can give you a clue to the year but as for the model no, get pictures of both sides and the front we can go from there, even then it can be tuff to tell
