Brrly1 1,146 #1 Posted February 13, 2010 Ok guys, I need some help here as far as figuring out what tractor we have! The belt cover says 702, we are kind of shaking our heads on this. The # we have is A-72142. This is one that our buddy Carl has out to his shop and he has somebody interested in the tractor. I was hoping that one of the guys that know how to look this stuff up might give me a hand. Thanks ahead See Ya, Bye Burly B)
Sparky-(Admin) 21,300 #2 Posted February 13, 2010 Any pics John? Slotted grill or solid? What type of footrests? One piece or two piece fuel tank? Mike.......
Brrly1 1,146 #3 Posted February 13, 2010 Mike I didn't take my camera with me. It sitting inside in the back part of the pole barn, the cold side of course. I was hoping that one of the guys who know how to check the #'s might appear but if worse comes to worse I can get some pictures on Monday and get them posted. I do know that the fuel tank mounts under the hood its not a one or two piece tank . It has the fuel tank cap sticking up thru the hood like on the lawn rangers and such. Where oh where is TT or Jim (lien biege)at when you need them. Have a nice evening See Ya, Bye Burly B)
Kelly 1,029 #4 Posted February 13, 2010 I know I'm going to miss one but here goes 603,704,604,654,and rangers used that hood, now what engine? tucky or kohler? if kohler and orig. it can only be a 704 pull start 7hp kohler, and if a tucky pull start or elect.? can be both, if it has a 702 belt guard on it and not been modified it will have a Kohler on it, probably transplanted because the tucky gave up post pictures both sides. Brrly1 1,146 #5 Posted February 13, 2010 Kelly, It does have a Kohler motor, no sign of battery box. !00% correct on the pull start. I will give Carl a call and see if he remembers the size of the motor. Thanks, I knew there was another name I forgot to list. Thanks again See Ya, Bye Burly B)
