Actually a backhoe has been in the early works for a while! I have the plans to build a very light weight one (350lbs). It would take the place of the weight box . But due to like Steve says, all my other irons in the fire, it will be on the back burner till next spring.

Here are some pictures of the other side. Somebody wanted to see how the exhaust came out. Unfortunately I will have to change it around a little because the port were the exhaust comes out of the muffler interferes with the stabilizers bar on that side for the loader.

Fireman, I was the one that ask. What is the muffler off of? It looks like you used the pipes from the 520 muffler and connected a muffler with a center exhaust. Is that right?

Looks like a 417 muffler.

The muffler is from a Kohler KT17. It works great with the exception of were the exhaust actually exits the muffler. I did use the stock exhaust pipes cut about half way back from the original muffler.

Just an update.

The motor didn't seem to be running right. Stopped by the local shop and talked to the guy there. Best he could figure is the carb needed to be rebuilt. Instead of spending $30 for a kit and trying to get all those little passages cleaned, I found a brand new one. I put it on today and fired her up. She runs better than ever now.

Just have to rework the exhaust and than she will be truly finished.

Of-course after all that work, and now that I bought the C-195, I may just have to sell her to make room :)

If I do sell it, it will be just the tractor. The loader will go on either the GT-14 or the C-195.

While looking through my Wheel Horse pictures, I came across the original pics of this tractor I took when I first went to look at it. I figured I would post them here so others could see them and use this thread for inspiration. I know how bogged down projects can get so to everyone out there, keep the faith and get back out there in that garage, shed, workshop etc. The final outcome is worth the blood, sweat and tears.
