Roger from southern Iowa 1 #1 Posted February 4, 2010 I've been lurking and learning here for several weeks and decided today is the day to join the fun. Super forum and seems to be a very fun and helpful crew. I'm not sure I'm considered a WH collector, I only own six...I think. 82 C195 automatic, A 800 (not stock) Raider 12, GT 14 with tiller and snow thrower,Electro 12( to receive a snow mobile engine) and 73 18 automatic with Johnson Work Horse loader. I will have to check the years on the ones that don't show that in the list.I have other brands also but won't get into that now. Thanks for having me and I'm looking forward to lots of questions for you in the future. Roger
MikesRJ 552 #2 Posted February 4, 2010 Well, around here six Wheel Horse's only makes you an enthusiast ... I've only got two, so I guess that makes me a breeder ... But just the same!

Dresden Guy 24 #13 Posted February 4, 2010 Roger, Welcome to Red Square....I am also a newbie as of 2009. I find the first thing I do in the morning ang and the last thing at night is to check for "New Posts on RS". I only have a couple tractors so far (see below), but am "bitten". My wife and I operate a busy B&B in the hometown of Longaberger Baskets and I learned firsthand about addictions - e.g. - Theresa from Iowa owns 1,490 baskets (avg. $80-$100 ea.), Cheryl from Frederick, MD owns 3,500+ (same avg. $) whose husband bought a 48' sea container in the backyard after all other outbuildings and the basement were filled. So, women have similar but different "hobbies", albeit maybe their's are more expensive! or maybe not..... I believe that restoring and driving WHs sure beats wearing "gold bling", "Rogaining", and shampooing in "Just For Men" - speaking only for myself. I remember driving my dad's B-80 (?) as a kid and now I have a great appreciation for the quality of the old WHs. I especially like your C-195, Raider 12, and the GT-14, not to mention all your others. Nice stable! Welcome! I have found the expert advice and general info on RS - PRICELESS! Roger from southern Iowa 1 #22 Posted February 5, 2010 THANK YOU!!! All these responses welcoming me in just under 24 hours. To attempt to answer the requests... My shop is 45 miles straight south of Des Moines on I35 in Osceola Iowa. Home is Chariton. I've heard a rumor that WE LIKE PICS here. As most of the horses are in cold storage at the moment I will make a serious effort to shoot some horses very soon and get them posted. Most of them are in "as used" condition. not much shinny paint at this time. I hope to have some time this year to change that situation. To those who commented on the C195, I feel very fortunate to have it, fenders have no pieces broken out and I got the 60"deck with it. I really appreciate the correct original and restored WH's, also like the home brewed machines. There is room for the mods and rods in my world also. Great to hear from the Iowa natives also. I'll quit with this post for now. Thanks again and yes, I'm hooked on horses Did I admit that?? Roger
