getting ready to buy another.....

markslawnmowerworld

This is my second day on here...and i'm really likin it.

there is this guy i know who has a 867 wheel horse and he first wanted to sell it to me for $200. bucks.....well i went to his house last week and looked that little gem

over.....and knew his mind set after talking with him a bit, and looking over the tractor. he is not very sharp...This unit is in excellent shape for its age...

after telling him....the craftsman seat and the and the after market steering wheel

,and the square hole for a headlight that someone put in the hood....(idiots)

and that the lift cable for the rear hitch was missing.........now he only wants a $100. bucks.......LOOKING AT THIS ENGINE VERY CLOSELY IT IS UNTOUCHED...

STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL KOHLER 8 HORSE, AND NEVER BEEN APART....

AND THE MOWER DECK IS ATTACHED...WITH ALL GAURDS PRESENT....

SO I THINK I WILL STEAL THIS FROM HIM THIS WEEKEND... B)

SO THE ONE QUESTION FOR YOU MEMBERS IS.......WHAT WOULD YOU PAY FOR THIS 1967 867.....IN THIS CONDITION.

KNOWING IT NEEDS A NEW STEERING WHEEL AND MISSING THE LIFT CABLE,

AND A SQUARE HOLE CUT IN THE FRONT OF THE HOOD? B)

I would say you are getting a pretty good deal.

$100 is a good investment in my opinion. I have started to become a little more picky in the tractors I look at.

It would probably still be a decent buy at $200. The 867 isn't extremely rare, but it is not one of the most common models. It was the only short frame tractor to use the 6-speed transaxle. And '67 was the first year for that 6-speed, so it could be a desireable model to guys like me who are after WH's "Firsts".

I've forgotten what I paid for my 867, but I think it was around $275. Might be that I'm not very sharp though.

can whlvr

thats a good deal, prices depend on so many variables we could talk all night about them, the real factor is U,do u want it badly,do u see many horses where u live,is it in good shape, etc,id buy it for 200 so 100 is definatly a good price.

If it was me I'd buy it, I'm looking for one, I kinda have a line on a ruff 867 with a sickle mower I'm still working on him, he's a JD guy I offered him $300 B) , so ya $100 is a good price
