sscotsman 166 #1 Posted February 2, 2010 Question for you Central and Western NY guys.. about 5 years ago I went to a spring time "plow day" at a big local farm.. it was a public event..had a a few antique tractors plowing up a big field.. plow horses and oxen too..(actually, now that I think about it, the hay burners were more common than tractors, and were actually the "main event"..so it wasnt a "tractor show" really..more of a plow demonstration with horses and oxen.) It was somewhere south of Rochester, but not too far south. Avon, Caledonia, Scottsville..out that way.. does this sound familiar to anyone? I would like to go again..but I cant recall a name or where exactly it was! so I cant even look it up.. thanks, Scot

sscotsman 166 #3 Posted February 2, 2010 This one perhaps, or do you remember the time of year? http://www.empirefarmdays.com/ Nope, thats definately not it.. although that one looks great! thanks for the link! The one im thinking of was in the spring..im sure of that much anyway. they were plowing the fields for spring planting.. and that Empire Farm days looks MUCH larger than the one im thinking of.. 10 times larger.. The one im thhinking of had maybe 10 different teams of horses.. local farmers and horse owners trucked in their teams. some oxen..a small "petting zoo" type thing for the kids with a few dwarf horses..maybe 3 to 5 tractors on display. I doubt they even have a webpage.. although I do know it is an annual event, open to the public. thanks, Scot
