1986 312-A Restoration

Recommended Posts

dobeleo

Starting to disassemble everything in the basement, I have a walk out basement so I just had to carry the parts in through a sliding door.

I pulled the Eaton Pump / Motor apart, everything looked good, started cleaning up the rear end getting it ready to paint. That puppy is heavy. I am glad I got kids.

I posted a pic, hopefully i did it right

I can see carrying the rear end, but did you muscle that engine in there on your own????? Took two of us to get my M12 up on the bench and I'm no power lifter, but not a lightweight, either. :banghead:

I washed the fan and it had a dingy white look to it so since I painted the brake drum on the other side black, I figured id paint it black, thought it would look cool too. Add a little color to the old girl.

Looks great....What are the plans for the rims and tires?

The tires and rims are next on the list. I was planning on reusing the tires, replace the tubes.

I will sand down the rims and repaint them with silver metalic paint. I have the hub caps.

Any other suggestions as to what I should do with the rims?
