Who has a loader on their GT-14?

Recommended Posts

Hey All,

Now that I have the GT-14, I am thinking of putting the loader on that instead of the C-125. It's currently on the C-81 along with the heavy duty forward swept front-end which would go on the C-125. Which tractor would be better suited for the loader? Are the spindles on the GT-14 strong enough? Please post any pictures you have of a loader on them.

Thanks

Fireman, As far as I know yes the spindles should be fine, I am gonna be just getting started with mine but I have seen many GT14's with loaders on them. The loader that I have now came off of another GT14 that I own. Its just that this tractor has the independent lift cylinder on the three point and I kind of liked that idea. Refracman has one on his 69' GT14. I believe Bill Pearson is another owner of the GT14 loader amongst several others. There is a new guy out of Minnesota that has also posted a picture of his GT14 with a front end loader. You are going to have to do some modification on your loader frame because the GT14 frame is an inch wider than the C tractors. Thats all I know for now because I am just learning about these loaders. I am really looking forward to this project. I hope to have it for many years. See Ya, Bye Burly

Hi--I ran a loader on a B80 with front spindles off of a 310... (the longer spindles to accomadate the smaller rims). Those have to be the "weakest" spindles going and I never bent anything---and I did some rough stuff with it!!! I think you will be fine.

The Gt14 unlike all other Wheel Horses execpt for the 520 w/ swept axels and the D250 it has tapered roller bearings.

The frame is longer on a Gt14 so you might have to fab up some parts to get it to fit.

Fireman the spindles on my GT14 were worn when i got it, and they had a lot of play. But they were striaght. I don't know how long the loader was on it but it still has the Wheel Horse tires on it. I did put a different front end on a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to weld on new round stock to replace the spindles.
