Reorganizing the garage, BRRRR Cold

Recommended Posts

Brrly1

Hello to everyone, well I had to wait until one of the coldest days of the year before I finally decided to do something other than sit on my fat a$$. Anyways I decided to move the garge around so I could get at the loader I brought home for my GT14. With that in mind I had to do a little bit of moving the tractors around so I could get to the loader tractor. I am getting ready to pull the motor and put a 16 hp Kohler in place of the 14. This tractor is setup with the indep.rear lift cylinder mounted to the three point with extra lift valve on the left side of the tunnel. Hoping to put a rear blade on it. I am going to mount a set of the GT!4 inside wheel weights and was thinking about trying to mount another set on the outside but I would have to cut the weight enough for the valve stem to come thru. Also I was thinking that might be to much weight on the axle? Don't know. At any rate thats what I am up to. I am gonna also post a couple pictures of the tricycle GT14 with the grader blade thanks to Mr. Bell and some of the 520h that I use to clear the walks around here. Have a Great Weekend! See Ya, Bye Burly

"Food looking tractors"....Got lunch on the mind, Duke?

John, I wouldn't try to dump it full speed ahead at full throttle or anything, but I don't think the extra weights would overstress the wheels, as long as their bolted to the rims, they don't weigh down the axle, they weigh down the wheel.

Hello everyone, Yes Steve you can see the floor, basically the entire floor except where the tractors are sitting. Got some more stuff to sort thru but I am actually getting the work benches cleared off also. Thanks for the info as far as the weights go Jason. Depending on what goes on this week I am hoping to get the motor pulled and get everything put back together very soon. I'll take a few pictures here and there. Thanks for the comments. I am really hoping this turns out like I anticipate. See Ya, Bye Burly

I have a GT14 with filled tire about 100lbs, 2 45lbs wheel weights on each wheel and 2 45lb suitcase weghts i have my hubs side out 3/4' passed the axle. The only time i worry about the weight is when i jack up the rear. I support the hubs and the case when I lift it up. So far so good but i would like to make a hub that is longer to support the whole axle.

Hey Sparky, why in the world would you even think that I was even out there. It is just so much more peaceful out there in the garage instead of hearing what the otherhalf has to say or complain about. So I go out and turn on Speed Channel or jam to some tunes. See Ya, Bye Burly

Nice tractors burly, and as you can see you're not alone with this passion to be in the garage. Even If I'm not messin with my tractors I just like going down making a big fire in the wood stove and turning on the music. Then I kick back on my bucket and enjoy "bodawg world" :banghead: .

Then I go thru sorting my tools and nuts and bolts or whatever else that needs it.

I used to have cable TV down there, but I cut it out from the house when they installed the satalite and new updated cables. Thats one of the reasons I enjoy being away from the house so I don't get stuck in front of it.

To the garage everyone!

Jerry, that would be a togh one as the better half takes care of all of that. If she quits then I have the ol' reliableKitchen Aid dishwasher. I am not much at doing dishes anyways always seen to have a backupand if that would fail it's time for paper plates. I've always prewarned the other halfs in my life I am not very domesticated but I can run a vacuum and carry clothes. See Ya, Bye Burly
