Anyone think I should clear coat the bigger pieces like the hood and fender? Its gonna get used and abused so I dont know if that would offer more protection. any thoughts?

If you have used Krylon, I would not put a clear coat on it. I have found that using Krylon crystal clear will not add to the gloss. If you ever have to touch up, it's much more difficult. You said that this is not going to be a show tractor, so I would leave the Cherry Red as the final coat.

About halfway down, you will find a post from valj0351. He uses nothing but Krylon.
