floor-it 11 #2 Posted January 16, 2010  Yes, Duke it appears that the blower is throwing snow further with the paddle modification. The snow is in a tight stream as it leaves the chute. I just bought a 1 stage blower, but have not had enough snow to use it.

Save Old Iron 1,566 #13 Posted January 16, 2010 You better start buying your gas from a different dealer - I heard the water in your gas tank start choking that engine about 4 or 5 times during that brutal workout - stay safe and keep the videos a'coming
whfan74 2,066 #14 Posted January 16, 2010 Hey Duke you missed a spot! Looks like you are able to put it where it is supposed to go!
MaineDad 85 #15 Posted January 16, 2010 Nice video Duke. Works well. You should put a blade on one of your other horses and plow that slush out. Works faster too...
Bow_Extreme 544 #16 Posted January 16, 2010 Very nice!! You can put the rubber on almost any blower out there and have the same affect. It really makes blowing snow very efficient. I know a couple gentleman who have done this to their blowers with amazing results.
stevasaurus 22,700 #17 Posted January 16, 2010 Those rubber hooby-doobys do a very nice job Duke. I am impressed...but I can't believe you are out in the street without a mars light on. I am giving you a 1 day susspension and a letter in your file.

Ken B 3,164 #19 Posted January 17, 2010 It does seem as though it throws the snow much further but does it bog the motor down more now because you've eliminated the air gap? Very nice modification but it seems the motor is straining and working extra hard too my ear. Extra heavy snow maybe. 4 extra ponies and you could probably throw it the next town over! Great vids.
sgtsampay 117 #20 Posted January 17, 2010 I have done this mod to two of my older snowblower (I sold them for my new one.) and had the same great effects. If you guys want, jsut go to Clarence impeller kits online and you can get them for the tractor or walk behind snowblower for about 40ish dollars. Ken B: What is does is fills in the gap so the snow can't get stuck in there and slow down the impeller which helps causes clogging. The paddles also turn the impeller into a water pump and really does make it harder for the machine to clog.
