Muffler Pipe

Hi all. As most of you all know, I have a small but great condition 1986 211-5 Horse that i use for mowing and light towing around the yard. the towing I had to make a custom hitch on it so i can hook up ball hitches and have it still be strong enough to support about 100 pounds of tounge weight. Anyway, that the only mod I have done to it so far. Tomorrow I plan on making a muffler stack on it (So it will look cooler IMHO. LOL) and then changing the drive belt and the mower deck belt. I also will do any touch up rust spots tomorrow and mabye repaint the top of the mower deck. My question is; since I'm working on it, should i worry about checking the values for ajustments when it only has about 400 hours? Also what are the measurements I should use? The stock ones or something a little different since I'm changing the exhuast set-up. Thanks all. I hope my first real mod will go well. LOL.

I bought one of those tractors for my Dad to use in town. Not too bad , I noticed that the muffler was in the front behind the grill , and the heat burned the paint off the lower grill section

Hi all. Here are those pictures you all wanted.

The new belt on:

The Mower deck again:

Here are some pictures of the pipe and my large engine. lol:

And here it is with the hood on:

I was also able to lube the whole chassis and oil all moving parts so it doesn't sqeak anymore. I also was able put a little spring mod to the shifting lever so it won't flop up and down anymore while running and drive me crazy. All that I have left is to fix the right side blocker thigy on the underneath of the mower, as it came un welded and needs to be redone, but it a real easy job. ( gotta love neightbors. LOL) Since I use this thing for my lawn care service that I offer, I kidna need it to be in top shape nad make real smooth cut. I went with this little wheel horse as I don't have many large lawns that I need to use the tractor on and i didn't want to invest much money into more toys as I already have everything paid for finally after two years. LOL. I also love to tinker on older machines and found this little guy that only needs new belts, a carb cleaning, lots of greese/oiling, and an oil change. Thats about it. Oh, and a little love. LOL. Anyway, enjoy all.

Looks good, but you might want to build a support of some kind for the muffler/stack so it don't break the side of the block out, that is a alum. block and will not take the weight bouncing around. just a thought.

I have a 1982 B-115 automatic lawn tractor that looks very similar to yours. I also have added

a hitch but it is a (home made) sleeve hitch. The B-115 has held up just fine with all the sleeve hitch implements.

Here is a picture. I wish I never cut the black hood. but I needed extra lift and

also modified the lift arm.

B115SleeveHitch.jpg

the lift arm can be pushed forward a couple "new notches"

heavy implements are lifted with the help of my leg!

Thanks guys. I really like it myself. Also, thats a nice wheel horse you there. I love the custom hitch you put on it. What kind of attachments do you use on it? Also, is the tranny the self contained peerless or what?

In regards to the weight of the muffler, its about 15ish pounds. I didn't think about the it being to heavy but any ideas for a brace? Thanks all.

LOL. I like the look of it and I always wanted to put one on my tractor. It does make it more muffled, but gives it a little deeper of a tone. I also like watching the little rain cap go up and down. LOL. I guess its the hillbilly that in me from my father. LOL. Anyway, here are some more pictures and a nice video of it running. BTW, I did make a little brace for it today to make sure it won't break the head or anything. Enjoy!

Nice stack!

My B-115 has the Eaton E7 hydrostatic transaxle. It seems durable. I really did beat on it with the

brinly plows and that subsoiler in my avatar. The limiting factor usually was traction due to the light

weight of the tractor. I am afraid that if I loaded the tires I would break something. But the B-115

set up this way makes a great cultivator tractor to use with my old brinly cultivator on the garden

rows.

That stack you put on there gives your tractor that "real tractor" look. :banghead:

Thanks. Yeah, I really though about it last night and I after reading what you gusy said, I thought that it was better to spend about 2ish hours making a brace than having future issues. Tanks guys. LOL.

In regards to the tires, I want something with more grip but since this thing does mowing, I don't want to mess up the grass with ags or whatever. Am I missunderstanding about ags? We is ok with grass?
