My descriptions didn't get with the pictures  Igot a hub(3/4" hole with keyway) drilled and taped threads to mount the steering wheel on the GT14

The rear wheels are 10" wide 15" Ford

On the 520 I welded a Ford steering shaft to a WH shaft (both were 3/4/" shaft) so now I can use any older Ford wheel. In this case I used a Grant steering wheel hub. I love hot rod parts :banghead:

Don't misunderstand, just never really thought of the GT14 as a mini rod. To each there own, I will follow the posts. I know a guy who is going to build a dual engine GT14 also, which also sounds interesting. Are you planning on changing pulleys to get more speed out of it. I guess I am kind of curious on this. Good Luck

See Ya, Bye Burly

Not to get to far  but it's a hydro, even if you change pulley that will only spin the pump faster, will it make it go faster??? or just burn up the pump?

I'm not realy planning on making it faster, just make it look cool ! And it's not on top of my list this winter. I have trouble enough keeping the driveway clear of snow. Useing the 520HC with 2 stage blower. Now that's a snow machine!! Throw the snow way the ell over there!! Works so much better with some counter wieght on the rear too !

Lane Ranger

The steering wheel on this 1964 Wheel Horse 1054 we have was replaced by being tapped and a sportscar steering wheel added.

Works pretty well. And looks nice too. Not original but not a $75 dolalr steering wheel either.

Nice 1054 Lane Ranger. Your steering wheel is pretty sought after by the hot rodders on Ebay if its in nice shape. I have three different color metal flake wheels from the 60's that my father in law gave me that were never installed. Don't chuck it!
