Kal-Truk from Kalamazoo Manufacturing Co.

Recommended Posts

Guys,

I purchased an old vintage gas powered materials handler called Kal-Truk. I was told by a guy on line that it was produced by the Kalamzoo Manufacturing Company that is no longer in buisiness. They have a website but not much there. I was told that there is a catolog in the Kalamzoo Public Library that has pictures and specs on this machine. I was told by the guy Jeremy who I think made the website that he has never heard of one for sale nor has heard of any still in existance. I am trying to get as much info as possible. Anyone know of this or live in Kalamzoo who is willing to make a trip to the library and make some copies ?? Thanks- Steve Bo

I have a vehicle like this. It is not running at this time as I'm having trouble with the starter ring rotating on the fly wheel. It can carry a heavy load on the bed. Sorry I do not have any pictures of the truck but it looks like the first add.

Sorry guys... no pictures of this one right now. It is under cover with snow on it. Simply looks like a rear driven large dump cart.

Steve, I saw your dump kart Wednesday night when my brother and I picked up the Breedy tractor. Cool unit but..... I've got to ask.... Why?

I got a couple of engines from the guy for $9.

Same company and they have those style trucks on the website but nothing like the one I got. Vince, the reason why is I think it was cool and believe I can make a few bucks with it.

Yep! That's the one. I hauled it home for Steve. It must weight close to a ton. His has hydraulic pistons on the sides that do the dumping. Looks like someone modified it a long time ago. The one in the picture looks like it dumps manually.

As fireman said it is the one in the first ad. I guess it is early 60's vintage. Thanks for finding this. Please keep the info coming. Thanks-

We just call em power buggies but that is an understatement.. I will try to see if there is more info on them . Pat

I too use to do some work for a general contractor / concrete contractor. He had 2 of those things. They were real mules, could haul a s--t load of concrete B) . He went out of business years ago. Dont know what happened to those things. He had an auction, and sold everything...
