Looking very cool. I'd venture too say that the hydro filter hasn't been replaced in a good while! With the  still on it.

Progress is looking good! I do want to point out that your spindles were not designed to be run this way. You will be putting alot of stress on a very small clip that is not designed to hold weight of any kind. I'm not being critical, just don't want to see you take a nose dive and destroy all your work and possibly inflict bodily injury.

This was my solution,

I still had to rebuild the complete steering setup to make it work, but it works awesome!

That looks cool

sarge, which way is the parking brake on?

and i dare say your correct, its a trans i pulled outta the stockpile lol

and the front axle on the tractor does not have the E-clips on it, it has roll pins that run through the spindle, the spindles are off some (round hood?) frame i had a while back

whfan74, i think speak for TT and bell in saying that these tractor really consist of spare parts, but i like seeing the parts being put to use

I completely agree and understand that they are putting together some cool machines with many different tractors.

Have been accumulating some items as well. Would like to try my hand in something like that some day. Will definitely have to use this thread for some tips. Keep posting the pics!

i would say go for it :WRS: i love seeing the customized tractors built from nothing, it shows dedication and its apart of you.

and ive been taking pics when something changes, i hope to have pulley and belt set up to day (im missing the stock hydro set up  so its any custom thing) and i hope to start on the motor mounts today or tomorrow to make the motor sit level :banghead:

If I remember correctly the lever in the up position sets the brake, might want to make sure by spinning the axles.

To see if the brake truly works both axles have to be turned while off the ground in the same direction. Support it on a jack/stands and rotate them both back and forth. Be aware that a lot of these hydro rear ends have had the brake engaged while moving, which instantly destroys the parking teeth/arm .
