You could check Google patents also. There are a lot of ideas and they have pictures too.

I believe my second drawing/photo is incorrect and with the center pivot as drawn, the tie rods should work of the same side wheel. Am I correct in this?

I have trouble visualizing how the linkages will work.....

Wish I had a way to draw all this out.

like so?

I beleive you will have to move your steering to go above the axel to improve ground clearance.

Or try something like this

I tried the diagonal rod for the 4WS and it works! Not perfect, but it's a start and usable. I'll continue to tweek the linkages but in the mean time, the cart works. Soon I'll have the coil over ATV shocks and will mount them up......

Had my B-80 out hoping to get back into the woods to retrieve some wood I had bucked previously. I managed to get back to the pile without the cart, but scaling the hills with all the snow and the cart made it a no go. 8-12" of snow with an ice base made it impossible......

Good deal Crow, sounds like you need some of those aerator spikes on the B for traction! Or, maybe just get the Sami out....

Today I made some progress on the "suspension"......

In trying to keep this project under budget I found some gas scooter shocks on e-bay for cheap. I wasn't sure how well they would work as I didn't have any specs on them other than overall length...

Cutting to the chase - I mounted them trying to allow the little travel they had to keep them under load in the static position. These shocks are so stiff that installing them was a bear. I only installed them on the front axle and this seems to allow the rear to articulate. I might try to find small snowmobile shocks that are only fluid filled without a coil over. I'll use this for now and do some shake down runs/loads and see how it goes.

I just received the materials to make this 4WS so that will happen a little down the road.

Just after taking the attached pics, my wife came in and said "If there was ever a reason to divorce me, this might be it". She continued explaining how she backed her truck out and into the cart. I gave her a hug and went to see what the damage was. Luckily, the cart survived, only suffering a pushed in "tailgate" section of the sides. Easy fix........

I still need to do some grinding and then rattle can the bare metal.......

Crow, I do believe that your suspension may out live your cart! Maybe you should put one of those bicycle flags on it for defense. Good job.

Thanks fellas'........

My road is 1/2 mile from the 4 corners and then I'm 2.5 miles up on our road. Next time your up this way, PM me before hand and we'll see if we can get together.

I'm dying to get the cart loaded with wood, but the snow conditions right now make it impossible to get up the trail even unloaded. Maybe with the upcoming warmer weather, the conditions might change to make it passable...

Good idea on the safety whip. I usually have 2 glo lime green marking flags on the back.....
