WH4741, thanks for the info!! I bit the bullet and ordered all Toro seals and 3 shift boots. 2 for my WH's and one for my Porter Cable as they look the same!!

The Bronze bushings are in transit as well as the "correct" belt guard. I also dropped off the frame, lift arm assy., front axle, 6 rear wheels, and both front wheels off with the sand blaster today. Should have that stuff back tomorrow evening. I am plugging away at all of the small parts in the glass bead cabinet. Down to the clutch rod and rear fender/toolbox assy.

All others, thanks for the compliments!!

STEVEBO, if you don't mind me asking, what brand and size tires did you go with. My son wants the tri ribs up front and duals on the rear!! He doesn't know it yet, but he is going to have to wait on the second set of rear tires!!!!! Thanks!!

Dwayne,

I got my Tri-ribs off of e-bay... do a search for "4.00 8 tire". $65 bucks (including shipping) gets you new two tires and two tubes.

I got mine from Jed's on ebay. They are 4.80 x8 inches. I think i paid $55 with shipping and 2 new tubes. May have been a few bucks more  I really like the look.

Did manage to get some other odds and ends primed and/or painted. I only put two light coats on the wheel pictured above. I will wait till I mount the tires to put the final coat on them. I have a rim clamp tire machine, but know that if I finish painting them I will tear them up!!!

Looks good. Did the Blaster miss the middle of the rims on purpose?

No, I took them out there for an estimate and still had tires on 4 of the 6 rear wheels. The price was right, so I left them. Pulled the tires off today at work. Two of the wheels are junk, two of them are totally blasted, and the other two I will clean up in my glass bead cabinet along with the inside of the fronts!!

Yes, kind of a brainfart on my part!!!

Have made a little more progress. The weather has not been real helpful with the painting end. The wife doesn't care for the body shop smell that migrates into the house from the garage!!

Just a few pics!!

Notice the different style rear wheels!! Which is correct for the RJ??

Also, notice the different colors!! I have decide to try Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy paint on the two outer wheels.

Interesting you point out the difference in the rear wheels. My RJ58 has the larger open spaces between the center and the rim. While my RJ35 has the smaller spaces between the center and rim. IMO both sets of rims are original to each tractor.

Coming along! Its going to look just right with the dozer B)

A little more progress. Not too happy with the paint on the head. I have a feeling it will come off to be cleaned up!! B) I still need to do something with the white paint on the plug wire. I hope I didn't jump the gun on that part.

Also need to touch up some paint on the foot peg from installing the lift arm!! Even after honing the insde of the lift arm, it still removed some paint!!!!

Not much progress made!! Soccer season is up and running and not a whole lot of uninterupted time!! Hope to work on the transmission on Tuesday. I have the day off and will not have anyone here at the house!!!

Here are some pics of a "new" pair of front wheels I just got. The other set of wheels were solid, but quite pitted. These cleaned up really well!! No pits at all!!!

I do have a couple questions about the front wheel though. I have notice that some have no holes, some have one, and some have two!! What is the correct aplication for each?? Also, I have seen pics of valve stems mounted out and pics of valve stem mounted in?? Manual pics show them mounted in also!! What is correct??

Sometimes the days alone are the days you can really get something done. Your project is looking fantastic. Great job.
