Duff 206 #2 Posted December 31, 2009 :banghead: ! Don't have an answer for you, but I'm sure some of the guys with more experience will be along to help out. Hood and front end look like a Wheel Horse "D"-series machine..... Duff
Don1977 604 #3 Posted December 31, 2009 Looks like a Ford with Wheel Horse fender pan.
rwilson 128 #4 Posted December 31, 2009 It kinda looks like a Bolens to me.
Sparky-(Admin) 21,339 #5 Posted December 31, 2009 Its probably a TORO tractor made back when there was no connection between TORO and Wheel Horse. Pretty sure 1986 was the year TORO got Wheel Horse. The motor sits the wrong way to be a Wheel Horse and if the motors original that starter gen makes it a 60's to early 70's tractor. No matter what it is it does look COOL! Mike........... dkopp 1 #6 Posted December 31, 2009 It's not a WH, the engine is mounted the wrong direction, it's not a Ford, hood style is wrong, it's not a Bolens either. How about some more pictures from different angles? Looks well built, but I have not seen anything like this before.
dkopp 1 #7 Posted December 31, 2009 Just did a little searching and I think Sparky was right. Found another tractor that looked pretty close to what you have there and it's an early model Toro.
Kelly 1,029 #8 Posted December 31, 2009 Yes I'm going to say a old Toro, there was one on ebay not to long ago with a 10hp kohler but I can't find it right now.
rickv1957 72 #9 Posted December 31, 2009 An old toro will get my vote,Rick
CasualObserver 3,408 #10 Posted December 31, 2009 Definitely an old Toro. This is a mag article picture of the 1969 Toro Suburban. The model 960 was made from 1969-1971. You can use model number 55402 in the Toro parts lookup to get the drawings. Now... since it's not a Wheel Horse.... it's going to other brands.
Indy w h 5 #11 Posted December 31, 2009 Yep it's Toro. I've got one just like it. Less the hood and front end Indy
