Gerry w 2 #20 Posted December 29, 2009 Like the old saying goes "He with the most toys (or Wheel Horse Tractors) wins ! If that saying is true then not only is Rick winning he's beating the sh-- out of most of us!! And doing so in style!
whfan74 2,066 #21 Posted December 29, 2009 Rick that is fantastic! As soon as I saw that in the classifieds I knew someone on here was going to get a really sharp looking tractor. Congrats on another great haul! :banghead:
CasualObserver 3,408 #22 Posted December 29, 2009 Not quite Gerry, but he's getting up there. There is a member here who doesn't post very often who has well over 100 Wheel Horses in his stable....(or I suppose with that many it should probably be plural... stables! ) and that guy's followed by at least two members who are in excess of 75 tractors each. They shall all remain nameless unless they decide to throw their own names in on the subject!
rickv1957 72 #23 Posted December 29, 2009 Gerry and you other guys, having my wheelhorse collection is a very muched liked hobby that I have,I dont intend to buy everthing out there,I look at lots of them every week and only buy the few that fit my taste when I can afford them,I just a union operater by trade so Iam not well of by any means,I do enjoy sharing what I have with you RS members, hoping you guys do like looking! I am not in a race to have the most, just doing the best that I can, dont want to offend anybody either, maybe I just wasted 30 minutes typing this, my finances are red,not money in the bank, Rick
Gerry w 2 #24 Posted December 29, 2009 Rick, Having fallen in love with the Auto's and D's I'm just happy that there are folks like you out there taking care of them! Some day i would love to be able to look at your herd! I promise to wipe up any drool!! As with the people on this forum and others, we love our horses, and because we do they will continue on, and this last purchase of yours will be very well taken care of and last a long, long time! Makes my heart glad! gerry
fireman 1,021 #25 Posted December 29, 2009 Rick, Your time is not wasted. I for one love looking at everyones tractors. I look at it as a race to save them before they get parted out or even worse, scraped! Unfourtunately I am maxed out on storage space or I would have over 50 by now. I too am very picky about which ones I buy. I should of said " He who SAVES the most tractors wins ". The next one I buy will be the Senior Dave`s has if it`s still available this June when I go to the show. $5000 is a lot of cash but I have half of it saved up already.
