bork 0 #1 Posted December 28, 2009 I know what manuals says on adjusting but on high speed, it should be done at wot? right? So how does one drive and adjust from seat? I have at recomended start point & seems to run fine , but just want to make sure its not too lean. Suppose I could do a plug color check. I was hoping someone had a cool trick. oldandred 15 #2 Posted December 28, 2009 one gets some else to run along beside the tractor and adjust the carb at high speed hehehehehehehe not really the high speed is with the throttle 3/4 or wide open then adjust the high speed its hart to adjust when driving along unless you jack up the rear
chamjack 0 #3 Posted December 28, 2009 Not sure what engine you are adjusting, but on K Series motors, Kohler suggests running the motor WOT (in nuetral) with the engine under load to set the high speed carb adjustment. Run the mower, snowblower, or whatever you may have to run off the PTO at WOT and then set the High Speed Jet while your tractor is in Nuetral. By running the PTO with an attachment, this places the motor under a load to make it work. I feel pretty confident that you would have one heck of a time adjusting it while you are driving around at WOT Hope this helped.
