Restoring my RJ35

Recommended Posts

fireman

I decided to restore the RJ35 next for the WH show. Hopefully I will be able to finish this and the 702 in time. I have the 35 pretty much stripped down with the exception of the variable pulley (just ran out of time). Once that is off the frame will make it's way to the media blaster because it won't fit in mine (everything else does though :notworthy: ). The hood will go my friends body shop to be welded back together and prepped for paint. All parts will be completely stripped, primed and painted. I am going to replace the chain and all bearings and seals.

The first picture shows how I got it. The second picture show it in it's current state.

Jeff,

Looks like you jumped into that one. It looks good. I assume you will be bringing it to Joe's to sandblast? I so, let me know.

Thanks All

flipb18b,

There is about 15 of us here that get together a few times a year for meet and greets. We had three this year and hopefully more next year. A few of us go to the local tractor pulls in CT.

Check out these links to posts about our meets:

Looks like a nice one to start with. Good luck with it. I'm sure you'll have it done by the PA show.

Flipb18d-- :notworthy: If you tell us how much snow you got from the last storm, we might be able to guess about where you're from in CT.
