C-161 or radier 12

Recommended Posts

Im having a hard time deciding which one to fix up. i like the C-161 because it has a hydro lift but i like the manual trans better. if i could find a electic lift for the radier my mind would be made. i have some money saved up to get started just can't make my mind up. i would like to have one good tractor and an ok back up.

mostly garden work pulling a moldboard plow, potatoe plow, hauling wood to the house with a cart. i have a plow on my truck so i wouldn't be pushing that much snow. seams like a moldboard plow puts alot of stress on the dash tower with a manual lift.

i use my hydro c160 with a moldboard plow and a tiller and even snow blowing and its a beast,my only setback is with tilling because its harder to keep the hydro slow enough for tilling only because i prefer the low range of the 8 speed for tilling, hope that hekped you

I'd make both work for me. It all depends on condition of the tractors and their specific uses. I like to keep my uses versatile depending on the situation. Start with one and than work to the next as funds allow.
