Finally got off my lazy butt

Usually I get th winter team together well before thanksgiving, but this year I was a little lax. I put the plow on the 414 and the blower on the 416 the night before the last snow (3") but didn't put weights or chains on the tires. The 414 has AG's on it and it couldn't get back up the driveway and had to be pulled up by the pickup.

Today is a beautiful day, in the 50's and I'm feeling good so I went out took off the AG's and put on a set of very old turf's with 4-link chains already on them, then put on the 50# weights. For the 416, I took off the hubcaps (don't want them to rust) and put on the 2-link chains,

The weather folks are already hyping up another east coast storm for New Years, but it ain't gonna happen now, I'm ready for it!

I don't blame your tractor for not making it up your drive, I almost couldn't and it was summer when Kathy and I were there to pick up Charlie's tractor!!

It's raining up here and 40ish in Northern Vermont! Good luck with your future snow removing antics!

Well your a great weather man Karl, just as you predicted the snow has arrived and its coming down hard. It about 30 degres here which is perfect snow temp.

We had 3" today then rain/sleet tonight. I finally got the 8 speed in for the broken 4 speed. I just need to find a used blower close to home. The blade will do fine for now.

Weatherman is calling for 3 to 4 inches here in my area tonight & tommorrow.

Really looking forward to getting a "real" snowfall yet so I can actually work the 417-8 I'm useing this winter.

Karl is the C160 staying inside this winter?

I got to spend a little time out there. Before I plowed, had to run out and that packed down a couple of strips in the driveway. Sure am glad I put the turf's with chains on them on. No getting stuck this time, the little 414 went through this without effort, of course there's only about 2 1/2 inches. Sorry, no pictures this time, the 2 little ones were working shovels and the older one was "doing her nails"

Oh, the C-160 is in the garage, I have only 1 plow (for snow) and that is on the 414, and one blower on the 416. I need another blower for the C-160, maybe one of them newer tall shute models :banghead:

Glad you guys are getting snow...just finished cleaning out for the 5th time this season. You all will want to get it done today or tomorrow...the bottom is falling out of the temperature here (below zero tomorrow) and headed your way. :banghead:

Havent even got the plow out of its summer home..It wount take long to hook up, i figure by the time the hydro on the Gt14 is warm the plow will be on :thumbs:
