rick 233 #1 Posted December 24, 2009 Just turned the key on my C-111 with a rebuilt engine! At some time in the past, a PO had the B&S engine repaired with a short block. I had the crank turned .020, block bored .020, used OEM parts on rebuild. Evidently the the specs changed for the crank bearings, the flywheel side is equipped with a ball bearing. I set the engine up with crank endplay toward minimum, and didn't use the thrust plate and bearing from the original engine. They are set aside, not thrown away.... Time will tell, but barring evidence to the contrary, I feel I am good to go.
