Confused99 2 #1 Posted December 22, 2009 a 60" deck . It was funny buying a WH mowing deck from a marina. I found it lastnight while doing a Google search. It was 15min from my work. I also got in the deal 4 12" hubcaps and 2 8" hubcaps. He does still have a 48" deck if someone is looking. He has 4 520H tractors with custom hitches that he uses to move boats around. He said he even moves 5000lb boats with them . Here are some pictures. Sorry for the crappy quality as these were taken with my phone. It was also funny buying a mowing deck with up to 20" of snow expected in a few days Jason
Kelly 1,029 #2 Posted December 22, 2009 looks to be in great shape, did you get a winter deal??? being you can't use it right now.
Rollerman 290 #3 Posted December 22, 2009 Nice find Jason! Those are some serious front wheel weights on his boat tugs! The marina I keep my bat at doesn't have any Wheel Horse prizes tucked away, but they do use a GT 14 Air Horse for pulling boats around.
Kelly 1,029 #4 Posted December 22, 2009 Just so you know those front weights are rear weights off lawn tractors with 8" rear rims, I know a guy that uses them, at 35lbs each.

Confused99 2 #8 Posted December 23, 2009 Lookin good! The heavy one too. But no 42" RD Randy Yeah, it's heavy. I left it in the back of the truck for extra ballast for pushing snow the next couple days. What do the 60" decks weigh? I already have 480lbs of softner salt against the tailgate in the bed Jason edit - Sorry, no 42" RD decks. I'm still looking for one too :notworthy:
GlenPettit 1,716 #9 Posted December 23, 2009 The 60" Deck is a clumsey 200#. Suggestion: In a Pickup bed, for driving/steering the weight should always be as far forward as possible; in any vehicle (even Wheel Horses), if the extra weight is behind the rear wheels it will actually lighten the front end, reducing steering and in cars with front wheel drive, reduce traction, reduce control, and greatly contribute to 'loss-of-control'. Weight by the tailgate will cause a lot more problems, at least more it over the axle. "Learned this from (bad) experience . . . "
Confused99 2 #10 Posted December 23, 2009 Yes, I agree for normal driving traction but when there is a 850lb+ snow plow hanging off the front of the truck, I need to try and lighten the front a little hense the reason for putting the weight behind the rear axle.
