Still need to get the back flap straightened out or replaced, it was badly bent up, the stops are not there, figured that's how it got bent. Hard to tell from the pics.

Got the hinge straightened out but not the metal flap. Thanks for looking.Guess it won't hurt to run it without the flap, will it?

For your info the factor belt I ordered from Toro was too long for my clll. I had to use a 140 inch belton mine. The Toro was a 142 inch. It was too long. The toro belt was 110265 and was too long.

I was thinking that I needed the #1599 belt, but I don't know the length of it, right off hand. Maybe someone on here will know what the 1599 belt length is. hint, hint. :omg:

Looks good Terry, I was going to ditch the back plate because of the shape it was in. I planed to replace it with a piece of 3/16 metal plate cut to the same measurements as the bent one, then add a stainless piano hinge.

I was kicking around the same idea, figured it needed the hinge back there for structural support, haven't been able to locate a hinge, yet. Got the old hinge pounded out straight but it don't want to hinge. The other concern was neither of the stops were there. Top stop, probably not a big deal but the bottom keeps it out of the rotation of the tines. Will have to make something, No longer available. :omg:

Can't find a darned piano hinge the right size around here, may order one off of E-Bay and drill the holes myself. For now I just put the old hinge back on it with the old carriage bolts, for support, but I don't think it needs it for support, it is pretty solid. If I decide to put the flap back on it, I may bling it up a little. We'll see. Just waiting on a belt now. The guy that has been helping me out with the belt measurements, said he could order me one for $43.something, but I haven't heard from him in a couple of days.

Mounted the Tiller up, think the belt is a inch or so to short. Here are some pictures. The first is my high dollar spring lift assist top bracket. :omg:

Mid assembly without belt on.

Next a helping hand getting the tiller mount into the tiller bracket.

Belt to tight and squeezed under the idler.

Mostly finished product.

Belt was so tight that I couldn't get the PTO cover back on, had to hook the tension spring up instead of back, inch or two longer belt, all should be ok. Thanks for looking.

I still see em. Great Job! :omg::D

For my lift spring mounting, I just used a piece of 1x1 angle and drilled a hole for the spring. I also Cheaped out and used a spring off the clearance shelf of TSC.. I think its supposed to be for a garage door or something. but it was 4.50 and works good..so no complaints from me!

Again...Ya did a great Job!

I, actually, don't even have the spring on it yet. Wanted to see how heavy it was without it. It is really not to bad on this tractor, but I do have a original spring, if needed. :D Oh, that was my brother asking where the pictures went, he probably forgot his glasses again. :omg:

Hey gang, just an update. I got everything all ironed out and posted up a video of me testing the tiller over in the video section, in the Wheel Horse picture gallery. Thanks for all your comments and help. Terry.

No, the shortest was a tad to long. I got a #1599 belt and it was a little tight but a lot better than the 138" a gave you. Did that belt work better for you or do you need yours back? P.S. the #1599 belt is 139" will be perfect after it runs a little. All in all I am very pleased.

Nice job on the tiller, she looks real good. But your tines are SHOT. They should'nt come to a point but instead more square like, they'll dig a lot easer and better. Just saying

Did not know that, thanks for the info. Could one reshape them with a grinder or something to that nature.
