That is a dare I say "pretty tractor" I would print that picture and show it to my C-165, but it would get jealous and probably not start for me! great job! Pat

Kelly,

I have and old black hood tractor and from the day I bought it I thought Wheel Horse dropped the ball as far as the paint job and the overall look of the hood. But after seeing what you have done that black hood finally got what it deserved. My question is do you have more pictures and did you paint the back axle black to.

PS. Would love to copy that killer paint job on my old black hood.

That is my sons tractor, he wanted the complete chassie black, trans and all, it started as a ruff C-85, we found a 14hp so now it's a C-145 I think the wheels are linnen from the factory, he wanted big and little tires and silver wheels, the paint is Valspar, that I wet sanded and wheeled out, I have other pictures I might run a new thread on it if you guys would like to see it??

I love the look of that C-145 Kelly. Your son really nailed the looks with the color combo's he chose, it totally looks mean. I have used the Valspar IH red paints also and they wet sand and buff out quite nicely.

I'd love to see more of that black hood. I am loosely modeling my c85 rebuild on that picture. Hope your son doesn't mind. Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I saved that picture to my Photobucket as well. I hope you don't mind if I someday paint a tractor like it also. :banghead: What size rims did you use on the front and what did you get them off of?

See new thread on building it, and use the ideas all you want, I think it turned out nice.
