TT,

Welcome to the 1000th post club. You're the 4th member. Karl usually gives out trinklets to this elite membership. He will fill you in on what you can do by being a member of this club. But, there are membership dues - I'm the treasurer of the club and I take paypal or a Wheel Horse or two of my choosing.

I agree, and would add "and Kohler engine" somewhere in the title.

Awesome job Terry!

Gentlemen -- I thank you all!

My little group at Yahoo will never hold a candle to this wonderful site and the :P members that populate it.

And to quote the woman at the WHCC show last June when she asked my good friend John if my tattoo was real: "He's really got it bad, doesn't he?" :P

I guess you could say that! :D

I have dabbled in the world of small engine repair ever since I could stand alongside my father at the basement workbench. I owe a lot of knowledge to him and am certainly glad I paid attention to his lessons! My son is now 14 and has followed closely in my footsteps, graced by his Dad's obsession with tractors and engines and, at times, his Grandfather's immeasurable knowledge.

My "informal" technical school training in the auto body repair and machine shop fields teamed with welding and fabricating experience has been nothing but a great help in this hobby, and I was actually contemplating purchasing a lathe/mill/drill press combo machine Smithy L/M/D when the sudden news of the plant closing was thrown in my lap.

So now, as I continue to run on the "treadmill of life" (you know -- when you run for "hours" and get off in the same exact place you started :P ) I look forward to the sessions here at Redsquare. It has been an equal learning experience for me as well, and am honored to be able to contribute what little I know. As I have stated before -- I will be wrong about a lot of things, but I value your corrections and experience as a way to enhance my knowledge and experience with these wonderful red machines as well. Thanks again -- all of you! :D

I think it's safe to say we are glad to have you at Red Square.

Terry, welcome to the 1000 post club! Each of your 1000+ posts represents the passing of knowledge and sharing of information. I think that it's great that folks like you share your knowledge in such a helpful and informative way.

For having 1000 posts you can now:

[*:392225jy]Uploads of upto 512KB[*:392225jy]Delete your own posts (but not topics)[*:392225jy]Edit your own topic and descriptions[*:392225jy]Add entries to the calendar (which we don't use)

And the best part is you are now a SAM (Senior Advanvced Member).

TT,

Thanks for the knowledge and experience you have shared with us. You are one of those responsible (to blame?) for me turning a couple of questions  into an obsession.

Congratulations. :D I think I thank you, :P

Am I also the one responsible for you mounting a rear-view mirror on your tractor so you can watch for Hippos? :P

It's really not much of my doings, though...

It's mostly the magical powers of the tattoo. :D

Well it's been almost a month now that TT hit the 1000 post mark...(FEB 17-08)

I will say I think we are all fortunate that he shares his knowledge on the board so freely.

Only 1500! Hmm, I know he will pass me and Karl had better watch out. What's amazing about TT's 1500 plus post count is that they all are useful. I have close to 1700 and about 1700 of them are useless clatter.
