Save Old Iron 1,566 #26 Posted January 4, 2010 Chris, I guess you lucked out. I left the computer smiling Mrs. Old_Iron asked me what was going on. I told her about your kind gesture. She said She then put her new Christmas hat on to go get some baking supplies. and now you will be the recipient of the same coveted prize sought after by the winners of my Pie for Plowing contest. Mrs. SOI will be sending you a loaf of banana bread or her famous cream cheese cookies ... your choice. So you better include a return home address on this package .. or we will both have to answer to the lady of the house !! (believe me you don't want that) pm sent with my home address.

Save Old Iron 1,566 #29 Posted January 28, 2010 Well, finally finished off this project. only 3 months and counting - guess i should not buy the 90 day setting time epoxy at the dollar store !! anyway .... with some help from Chris11 supplying top notch Belden solid sore wire (hope you enjoyed those cookies) and great advice from others about removing wires from the magneto body, we have success. the end of the new wire cable was roughed up a small starter pocket was poked into the solid core bundle to assure it would fit snugly over the HT peg in the magneto body the spark plug terminal was embedded into the opposite end of the wire epoxy adhesive was applied to the wire end and the end embedded and held into the magneto until the epoxy dried all set to be replaced back on the 416-
