876wheelhorse 46 #1 Posted October 16, 2009 does anyone know of a site for a john deere 210. i have a chance to buy one looking for some specs and maybe a downloadable manual. I have tried searching cant really find much. why cant all sites be easy to navigate around? maybe it is a sign just to stay wheelhorse and stay away from the green. actually thought about buying it good price painting it and then selling it away. :scratchead:

Sparky-(Admin) 21,339 #3 Posted October 16, 2009 I moved this to the "Other Brands" section for ya. Now about the JD. I will buy any brand tractor if I think I can tun a profit out of it and I bet the JD guys are just like all us WH guys in that we're allways looking for more tractors. You shouldnt have any trrouble unloading a JD to make a little "red tractor cash" . Mike.........

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,505 #5 Posted October 18, 2009 Without question, www.weekendfreedommachines.com weekendfreedommachines For model info: WFM Model Info For a quick summary for a JD 210 - it was made from 1975 to 1987 and was part of the 200 series line that replaced the 110/112 line. The 200 series included the 8 hp 200 and 208, the 10 hp 210, the 12 hp 212, the 14 hp 214 and the 16 hp 216. All had K-series Kohlers and were 4 speed Peerless drive transmission with first gear a creeper low. All but 208 had a variable speed feature which meant in any gear you can move the variable speed lever to increase or decrease ground speed, much like a poor man's hydro. Mechanical lift was standard with dealer installed electric lift or hydraulic lift optional. The 210 would have either a 39 deck or a 46 deck. Frames were heavy duty and in fact, the 210 may have the heaviest weight to hp ratio in the JD line. It was a garden tractor similar to the Wheel Horses, and in fact use a similar setup for the PTO that WH did, horizontal engine, cup and cone PTO, belt to the deck or snow blower or tiller. Attachments included 43 inch snow blade, snow blower, plows, tillers, etc. Good machines, but more complex than a Wheel Horse. JD doesn't give away their manuals, but you can buy them in either paper version or CD from JD.
