wallfish 17,112 #1 Posted October 10, 2009 The PO started a restore with the motor but I'm glad he stopped there! The paint is way to bright and the flywheel shroud has deep rust pits in it and should've been replaced. It's got a lot of heavy rust pitting but everything works and has the B1290 Clinton. There must have been a larger motor on it at one time because the hood was cut, but it doesn't look that bad.

Rideawaysenior 25 #14 Posted October 13, 2009 John, Just another note on the plowing bit. I know tractor to plow ratio here is different, but my little Suburban 551 will push snow better in my opinion then my D160. The D has a 56in blade mind you and will push a fair amount of snow but the agility of the little guy and being able to actuially climb the bank and push its load onto the top is amazing. Having 98% of the tractors weight on the rear wheels may also help out too.
